Wordless Wednesday - Playdate

AJ came over today. The girls really "played together" more than they ever have. They always have interacted some, but mostly just end up playing around each other. However, today, they worked a puzzle together:
And AJ was very helpful to Ali, saying things like "try it here" and "turn it around". It was so cute.

They of course played "rosies" quite a bit:
And they played several Beethoven pieces:
They were so excited to be together, played so well, and were so happy that I have no idea why AJ looked this sad for a moment:
. . . but it was so cute that I just HAD to snap the picture.

Wordless Wednesday: Daddy's Intro to McWane Center

Since I had so much fun with AJ at the McWane Center last week, Mommy and I decided to take Daddy to go experience the fun.

Mommy and Daddy built an arch to start with. I wasn't too happy about it. They kept taking blocks and putting them too high for me to reach!!
But I sure had fun showing Daddy the water table!!
Daddy is sooo much bigger than me. . .
But I'm catching up with him!!
The ginormous lite brite was awesome!!
I collected all of the blue ones. . .
And had important business to do with them. . .
Like giving them ALL to Mommy.
Daddy enjoyed the piano the best. His years of classical training really paid off!!

Wordless Wednesday

Ali loooooves Radford. Or, as she calls him, "baby rub-rub". Here they are having a stripedy staring contest:
Ali has also been enjoying getting to wear her coat now that the weather is cooling down. I took it off of her as I was getting her into her carseat on Sunday, because it just doesn't fit very well in her seatbelt. She wanted it on and kept insisting, so I put the arms on her arms backwards and told her it was like a blanket. But she kept saying "wear hat!! wear hat!!", so I did what she asked. . .
I don't think she appreciated it too much.
Nor did the static bomb that was her hair.

Wordless Wednesday

She LOOOVES wearing Daddy's hat. Has to have it on anytime she's in our bedroom.
And if I ever write a Baby Tips sequel, this will have to be added.

Wordless Wednesday - Winter Pigtails

The cooler weather has really calmed Ali's curls down, which makes for some super cute, super Pippy Longstockingesque pigtails:

Wordless Wednesday - Cheesy Grins

Ali is now at that age where she will smile on command (fakely, of course - and yes, that's another one of my made up words). But it is just too cute, fake or not. Here she is showing off her new dress before church:

Ali the Tattletale?

Ali is getting to a really fun age where she will tell me things that happened when I wasn't around.

Now there is no guarantee to the accuracy of these tales, because she is obviously too young to understand lying, and too inexperienced at sentence structure to differentiate between imaginings and actual events.

However, sometimes you've got to wonder where she comes up with stuff if, in fact, it isn't the truth.

For instance.

We were driving today, and I almost missed my turn. So I slowed down rather quickly, and then did a rather sharp turn as well. To make it more fun for Ali, I said, "WHEEEEE!!"

Ali replies enthusiastically, "Pop Races!! Pop RACES!!" POP races!!!"

So Dad, I have to ask - do you tell Ali you're racing while driving around sharp turns? I mean, it's not that I would mind, or be surprised, seeing as you did plenty of that (safely) while I was growing up. But if this isn't something y'all have taught Ali, then she is QUITE perceptive.

:)

Snippets of Life

Yes, it is the terrible truth: Ali is already on book 7 of Harry Potter:
Here are a few more pictures of the Sunday School party at the Burchfield's a couple of weeks ago. The little girls had SO much fun together!
Ali and AJ:
Ali found this teeny tiny hairbrush and was fervently brushing her hair with it:
