Love Has No Limits. . . Or Does It?

A few weeks ago, we taught Ali to say "I love you THIS much!!", with her arms spread out as far as they could go. It's absolutely adorable - a sure moment to be cherished in a toddler's life.

I then took it a step further and started saying, "I love you to the sky!!", or, "I love you to Atlanta!!", or "I love you to the moon!!".

This brought out a whole new dimension of our conversations, of which I am sure could be analyzed for a greater understanding of a toddler's reasoning skills.

This is usually about how they go:

Me: "I love you to the sky!!!"

Ali: "I love you to the WALL!!"

Me: "I love you to Atlanta!!"

Ali: "I love you to the CHAIR!!"

Me: "I love you to the moon!!"

Ali: "I love you to the DOOR!!"

Maybe love DOES have it's limits. . .

Oh well. It's at least good to know where I stand.

That's so cute! David and I still play a game like that. We used to go back and forth with it for several minutes, but as he's getting older, he'll only do it a couple of times and then say, "Mommy, I don't want that game anymore."
