Ali: "What's this song about?"
Me: "It's about Joseph and his coat of many colors...his Daddy gave it to him."
Ali: "My Daddy gives me Jelly Beans of many colors!!!"
Ali: "I LOOVE Jesus!!"
Me: "I'm glad - I do too!"
Ali: "I'm going to call Daddy Jesus."
Me: "Daddy's not Jesus - Jesus is in Heaven."
Ali: "Oh well - I'm going to pretend that Daddy is Jesus - is that okay?"
Me: "We don't usually pretend to be Jesus..."
Ali: "Oh, okay. Well can Daddy pretend to be Prince Eric, then?"
We were at my Grandmother's condo, and she lives on the second floor. The stairs going up to her Condo always make Ali a bit nervous, because you can see between each stair. As we were coming back down, Ali said:
"We need to hold the randhail because we don't want to fall through the holes...that would be soooo naughty."
AJ was over, and Ali was crying over some sort of minor toddler disappointment. I was trying to convince her to get over it and get back to having fun, and I said, "Don't you want to go play with AJ??"
"I do, when I finish crying."
She apparently saw something that amazed her...and apparently I've been using too many casual phrases. In a burst of excitement, she yelled out,
Ali was protesting putting on her panties without my help... "But Mommy, I'm a pretty girl and you're a regular girl, and only regular girls put on panties!!!!"
