It’s the Yittle Fings, Part Twenty-Six.

We were listening to her favorite CD in the car, and she asked, "How will we go into the music?"

Me: "You can't go into the music!"

Ali: "That's right - my head won't fit into the hole!!"
Her pillowcase often comes off of her pillow during (or probably right after) naptime. She asked me to fix it the other day, and while I did, gave me the following commentary...

"Little girls can't fix pillowcases. When I get to be a Mommy and get a face like that (pointing to me), THEN I'll be able to do it."
Ali: "Can we play???"

Me: "We've BEEN playing."

Ali: "No, that was not playing! That was coloring!!"
We were eating a meal I could tell Ali wasn't too fond of, so to hype it, I said excitedly, "How is your dinner?? Is it delish?!?"

"Yes....."

(Silence)

"If I said it was yuck, would that be a lie?"

When I was little I loved trying to fit the pillow under my chin and attempting to get the pillow case on...it's not so amusing anymore...

A little girl at our church potluck asked me if I liked a particular dish (it was curried rice with fruit). I told her that I thought it was very good! She tasted it and said, "yeah, it's good... but (scrunching her face) it's a little bit yucky too."
