20 Weeks.

IMG_0115

Noah and I hit a growth spurt right after my last update post. Sleeping is getting uncomfortable (which really scares me since I have 19 weeks to go) – I can’t sleep on my back anymore without feeling crushed, but I still can’t sleep on my side without feeling nauseous. So I’m propping a pillow under one side of me and doing a hybrid.

Total Weight Gained: 4.2 Pounds. It was more, but then all the walking in NYC plus the fact that Noah didn’t care too much for the conference food put me back a couple of pounds.

Cravings: I hate Milo’s. Yet, I have been 6 times in 2 weeks. Not the hamburgers, mind you – they still disgust me. The chicken fingers, fries and honey mustard sauce is totally calling my name – continuously.

Aversions: Coke is finally absolutely delicious again!!! Hallelujah! I was surprised by all the food that I couldn’t eat at BlogHer – I’m not sure why – it was just different, I suppose.

Movements: Noah was really active, but has slowed down quite a bit this week. His feet must be tired from BlogHer like mine.

Travel: My travelling went really well with Noah in tow – I didn’t have too many problems, other than on the tiny plane on the way back, I got pretty sore. Oh – and Noah could totally feel the pressure changes. He was completely still on the flights except for takeoff and landing, when he would go crazy.

I almost panicked when we were walking around Atlanta because I thought the baby had stopped moving. Later I realized he probably was moving but I felt it less because I was always moving. As soon as I had a day where I was mostly still (or at least not chugging it up to the upper deck at turner field) I could feel all his movements again. Now, that he has migrated to directly on top of my cervix, there's no denying it now!

That's so funny about Milo's and their chicken fingers of all things...Noah wouldn't rather have Chick-fil-a nuggets?!?

Rachel, your stomach is utterly, disgustingly, SMALL!!! I would hate you but I love you too much!

I cannot, I repeat cannot, believe how teensy you are. I was way bigger at 19 weeks for both of my boys. You barely look pregnant. Go you!

Summer, but I do go by "Mommy" said...

You are amazingly tiny! I craved Milo's double cheeseburgers and chili cheese fries during both my pregancies. Maybe he just slept the whole time you walked cause you were rocking him. Hopefully, the next 19 weeks will be easier on you to sleep! (not likely but hopefully!)

Yeah, I'm not doing a picture for the interwebz until this Sunday, which is my 20 weeks. You are so tiny! And I feel for you on the sleeping thing: I can't get comfy at all....

I LOVE the Bobby wedge pillow. Cost about $14 and totally worth. Having a wedge seems to work better than a regular pillow. I use it under my belly and back depending which way I feel like laying.

Ok, I'm at 20 weeks too, and agree with the posts that you are most definitely, not NEARLY big enough! It did make me feel better to see your pics from your first pregnancy with Ali... I look a little more like that, and my appetite has taken a flying leap ahead. I also didn't have a single day of morning sickness, which I suppose contributed there. Congrats on making it through the BlogHer trip, and I feel you on the sleeping, but also found that a pillow under the tummy on my side does the trick, and then pulling one knee up nearly to my chin seems to be most comfy - happy dreams!
